As a result of the recent developments in the Middle East, our country hosts many foreign citizens. With the legalization of granting Turkish citizenship to foreigners who buy real estate in Turkey for at least $250,000 or invest $500,000 or more, their demands for owning a house in Turkey are increasing day by day.
According to the current legislation in Turkey, official contracts aiming at the transfer of immovable property must be made at the Land Registry Offices where the immovable is located. In addition, it is possible to sign a “preliminary sales contract” in the presence of a notary public before the official sale.
