Turkey has become an attractive country for foreign citizens both in the field of education and in terms of employment opportunities, especially in recent years. In 2019, 145,232 people received work permits in Turkey.
According to Article 10 of the International Labor Law No. 6735, a work permit has been issued to foreigners. A foreigner working in Turkey continues to live in Turkey by obtaining a work permit. In order to obtain a work permit the foreigner must first have a residence permit. Foreigners can work in all workplaces and domestic services operating outside the areas called prohibited occupations. Although obtaining a work permit seems costly, it provides many advantages to the foreigner in the long run .
BENEFITS OF GETTING A WORK PERMIT ;
* A foreigner who obtains a continuous work permit for 5 years in Turkey is entitled to become a Turkish citizen.
* Foreigner can retire from Turkey. After retirement, he can benefit from all retirement opportunities.
* Foreigners with a work permit, their spouses and their children under the age of 18 can receive free treatment in all state hospitals in Turkey.
* Spouse of a foreigner who has a work permit, and a child under the age of 18 can obtain a family residence permit.
