Attention For Those Who Rent Their Home To Illegal Foreigners

THOSE WHO LEASE THEIR HOUSES TO ILLEGAL FOREIGNERS ATTENTION: There will be a fine of one thousand TL per person.
A critical step is being taken for the control of irregular foreign immigrants, which are increasing especially in certain provinces and districts. It is on the agenda to impose an administrative fine of one thousand TL for each number of foreigners, to property owners who rent their homes to foreigners who do not have any permission given by the official authorities. For the fines imposed, a payment period of thirty days will be granted from the date of notification. The regulation discussed in the commission is expected to be decided in the coming days.

In this context, an amendment is envisaged in Article 102 of the relevant law, which regulates administrative fines.

The aforementioned article states that ‘Foreign persons who do not have a valid travel document, a foreign identity card issued by the competent authorities of the Republic of Turkey, a residence permit or a valid road permit are allowed to enter or leave the country, by any vehicle or passenger animal or on foot. The phrase “people who allow them to stay and those who rent their real estate” will be added to the expression “to people who allow them to travel..”

‘The regulation included in the Draft Law on Amending Certain Laws and the Decree Law No. 375 has also started to be discussed in the Parliamentary Internal Affairs Committee.

THE THOUSAND TL PENALTY FOR EACH FOREIGNER

In case the proposal becomes law, an administrative fine of one thousand Turkish Liras will be applied to those who rent out their homes to foreigners who do not have a residence permit, equal to the number of foreigners detected for their actions that are not defined as a crime in the law.
