Discover whether documents obtained from the Turkish e-Government portal are officially accepted by the Immigration Administration for your residence permit application.

Using e-Government (e-Devlet) Documents for Residence Permits

Turkey's Migration Management accepts many digital files for your application. You can get these through the e-Devlet portal. Using e-government documents for residence permit applications saves you time. You won't need to visit government offices as often. It's a much smoother way to handle your paperwork.

But not every printout works. The office only takes files with a barcode or QR code. This lets the officer check if the paper is real right away. If it doesn't have a code, they will likely reject it.

Which e-government documents for residence permit files can you use?

You can get several key papers from the system for your file:

1. Residence Document (Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi)

This paper proves where you live in Turkey. When you create it on e-Devlet, choose the "Public Institution" (Resmi Kurum) option. Make sure the address matches your application form exactly. If they don't match, you'll have problems at your interview.

2. Criminal Record (Adli Sicil Kaydı)

You might need a criminal record check. Select "Official" (Resmi) on the portal. And tell the system you're giving it to Migration Management (Göç İdaresi). It's a quick process that takes only a minute.

3. Title Deed Records (Tapu Bilgileri Sorgulama)

Do you own a home? If so, use the "Deed Active Text" (Tapu Kaydı). It proves you still own the property. It must show the current status and have a barcode. This is vital for property-based permits.

4. Social Security (SGK) Statements

If you need to show insurance or work history, use the SGK statement. It lists all your social security payments in Turkey. It's a full record of your history with the system.

Rules for your digital files

Follow these rules so the office accepts your files:

If you need a closer look here, see The Role of the Residence Permit Application Document (Müracaat Belgesi).

  • Barcode Verification: The document must have a barcode or QR code.
  • Purpose: Always pick "Official Institution" (Resmi Kurum).
  • Date: Most files expire after 30 days. Don't use old ones.
  • Format: Get the original PDF. Don't take photos of your screen.

Migration Management says these files are valid under their official rules. If the paper says "usable in official institutions," you're good to go. This system makes getting your permit much faster. It cuts down on the old-school red tape we used to deal with.

Using e-government documents for residence permit tasks is the smartest way to apply. It's fast, easy, and officially accepted. Just make sure your barcodes are clear before you head to your appointment. Good luck with your application!
