New Turkey Coronavirus Rules for Travelers
Updated Turkey Coronavirus Rules for International Travel
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM) just updated the Turkey coronavirus rules. If you're flying into the country, you must show a negative PCR test. You need to take this test within 72 hours of your flight. These rules also affect people traveling from Turkey to 159 other countries. This list includes the USA, UK, and China. It's important to check the latest coronavirus measures before you head to the airport.
SHGM published a new table for entry requirements. It explains what you need to do when leaving or entering Turkey. These steps help keep everyone safe during the pandemic. The directorate wants to ensure all travelers follow the same health standards.
Quarantine Rules for Four Specific Countries
Direct flights from the UK, Brazil, South Africa, and Denmark are currently stopped. But you might still arrive from these places through a different country. If you do, you'll need a negative PCR test from the last 72 hours. You must also stay in home quarantine for 14 days after you arrive. For most other countries, a negative test is enough to enter.

Traveling to the USA: Recovery and Testing
Are you heading to the USA? You'll face extra steps. Anyone aged 2 or older must take a test within three days of their flight. You need to show your negative result to the airline. If you had the virus recently, you can show a recovery document instead. This document must be from the last 90 days. Make sure you have these papers ready before you check in.
Germany and EU Entry Requirements
Germany isn't giving tourist visas to people from Turkey right now. They only allow essential travel or urgent trips. You'll need to show a negative PCR, RT-LAMP, or TMA test. Make sure you take it within 48 hours of entry. Most other European countries also won't let any passenger in on a tourist visa.
Strict Testing for China
China has very strict travel restrictions. You must get a nucleic acid test from an approved lab. Do this within three days of your flight. You also need an IgM antibody test within 48 hours of departure. Chinese citizens use the "WeChat" app for approval. Foreigners must apply for a health statement at a Chinese mission.
When you land in China, you'll stay in a government-approved hotel for seven days. You have to pay for this yourself. If your test on the fifth day is negative, you can finish your 14-day quarantine at home. You'll take at least three more tests during this time. Doctors will also observe your health for another seven days after quarantine ends.
Following the Turkey coronavirus rules helps you avoid travel delays. Always check the latest updates before you book your flight to stay safe.
