The fluctuating exchange rate effect experienced in Turkey started to show itself in every field. Many institutions and organizations, from industry to trade, from economy to art, were affected by this fluctuation and had to make updates and hikes in their prices. Turkey also made a new regulation on the taxes to be collected from foreigners and changed the tax prices. We will talk about this situation in this blog post.
Some taxes in Turkey are priced in dollars. This causes an increase in the tax paid in TL with the increase in the dollar. 1 Dollar, which was 7.62 TL in November 2020, has reached 17 TL today. While the residence fee paid in November 2020 was approximately 647 TL, this figure is approximately 1700 TL today. Likewise, while the card fee was 105 TL in November 2020, this fee was increased to 125 TL in November 2021. While the visa fee was 680 TL in November 2020, it became 760 TL in November 2021.
In 2022, these prices will change with a new regulation. Residence fee will be approximately 1700 TL, card fee will be 170 TL and visa fee will be 1150 TL.
