Historic day in Turkmenistan! Signed…

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the signing ceremony of the agreements between the two countries in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. 8 agreements were signed between Turkey and Turkmenistan. After the signing ceremony, President Erdoğan held a joint press conference with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov. President Erdoğan said, “We are determined to take the necessary steps to increase our trade volume to 5 billion dollars in the first place.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who came to both pay an official visit and attend the 15th Leaders’ Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization continues contacts in Turkmenistan. President Erdogan attended the signing ceremony of the agreements prepared between the two countries after the tete-a-tete and interdelegation meetings with President of Turkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov. At the ceremony, 8 Agreement between Turkey and Turkmenistan were signed, while Erdoğan and Berdimuhamedov also signed 9 articles. Signed the Joint Statement. 

“1- Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) Corporation and the Turkmenistan State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinema Production

2- Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) Institution and Turkmenistan State News Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Agency

3- Cooperation Agreement between Anadolu Agency and Turkmenistan State News Agency (TDH)

4- Agreement between the Government of Turkey and the Government of Turkmenistan on cooperation in the fields of health and medical sciences

5- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey and the State Union of Turkmenistan Turkmen Horses on cooperation in the field of equine

6- Memorandum of understanding and regulation between the government of Turkey and the government of Turkmenistan on the Joint Turkmen-Turkish General Education School

7- Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and the Central Bank of Turkmenistan

8- Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on cooperation in the field of protocol”

I am very happy to come to our ancestral homeland, Turkmenistan. On this occasion, I congratulate once again the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan. We will continue to support Turkmenistan and its successful independence status within the framework of our fraternal relations. Turkey is the first country to recognize the independence of Turkmenistan.

We recently hosted Kadirli Doğanimi in Istanbul on the occasion of the Organization of Turkish States Summit, which she attended for the first time as the ‘observer member state president’. Our family photo was completed with Turkmenistan joining us. On this occasion, I once again welcome Turkmenistan to the ‘Brothers Council.
