Humanitarian Support for Ahiska and Crimean Tatar Cognates

Health and Psychosocial Support Services

Health is a top priority for the evacuated cognates. Medical services are available 24/7 within the centers. This includes routine check-ups, emergency care, and access to specialized medical treatments when required. Recognizing the mental toll of war, the government also provides continuous psychosocial support. Professional counselors work with both adults and children to help them process their experiences and integrate into their new surroundings.

Facilitating Long-Term Integration

The support goes beyond immediate physical needs. Turkey is facilitating actions to help these communities build a future. This includes educational opportunities for children and language support for adults. By providing a stable foundation, the government ensures that Ahiska and Crimean Tatars can maintain their cultural identity while contributing to the social fabric of the country.

The coordination of these efforts involves multiple state departments, including the Ministry of Interior and disaster management authorities.
