Applying for Turkish citizenship? Here's every document you'll need.

Get the paperwork right, and the process runs smoothly. Get it wrong, and your file stalls.

Before you buy: a valid passport, translated and notarized, a Turkish tax number, and a foreign exchange certificate from your bank.

For the investment: the TTB valuation certificate, issued through the official system, and your certificate of conformity.

You'll also need a 31/J residence permit. It must be valid on the day you apply.

For every family member: birth certificates, marriage records, two biometric photos each, and a clean criminal record for adults.

One rule for all foreign documents: apostille first, then a sworn Turkish translation and notary approval.

And you don't have to fly in. With a power of attorney, your lawyer can file everything for you.
