Foreigners living in Turkey can have a civil marriage ceremony in Turkey if they meet the necessary conditions. As in every country in the world, the Republic of Turkey also requests some documents from people who will apply for marriage.

- Marriage medical report
- For foreigners, by the competent central authorities or by the local authorities of that state. A document issued and duly approved by the representatives of the person, showing the person’s name, surname, parents’ name and date of birth, place of birth, marital status (single, divorced, widowed, etc.) is done. (Marriage Regulation Article 20.)
