Tourism Sector Foreign Personnel Work Permit Applications

While the Kovid-19 epidemic, which affected our country as well as the whole world in 2020, caused great effects on the global economy, tourism was one of the sectors most negatively affected by this process. Therefore, in order to support the revival of the tourism sector and to meet the demands from the field, the various facilities provided to the sector in previous years have been maintained and implemented in 2021 as well.

In this context, to be valid between 01.01.2021 and 31.12.2021:

Ministry of Culture and Tourism certified or undocumented tourism businesses and businesses operating with permission within them (Small businesses such as SPA, beauty center, sports center, hairdresser, jewellery, leather, carpet, textile, etc.) , tourism travel agencies, certified holiday resorts, tourism-animation organization companies and detached entertainment places, the minimum wage that can be paid to foreigners cannot be lower than the minimum wage in force as of the date of application.

Tourism businesses certified by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, certified holiday villages, Turkish bath, sauna, etc. If at least ten (10) Turkish citizens are employed for foreigners to be employed in jobs that require expertise and mastery by certified tourism establishments that have a complex, or by baths and saunas contracted with enterprises with a Travel Agency certificate, and thermal hotels with an operating permit obtained from official authorities, five separate five (10) Turkish citizens are employed for each foreigner. (5) The quota for employment of Turkish citizens will not be applied separately.

Maximum two foreigners are eligible for work permit criteria in enterprises operating under permit or contract (small businesses such as hairdressers, jewellery, leather, carpet, textile sales, etc.) within tourism enterprises certified or undocumented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. A work permit may be granted without being subject to it.
